主要碱性蛋白(英語:Major basic protein,MBP),全称为嗜酸性粒细胞主要碱性蛋白(英語:Eosinophil Major basic protein),也称为蛋白多糖2(Proteoglycan 2,PRG2),是一种由人类基因PRG2编码的蛋白质[5]。
MBP在结构上类似于凝集素(糖结合蛋白),特别是与C-型凝集素在折叠上相似。但与C-型凝集素不同(C-型凝集素在钙的存在下会结合各种碳水化合物),MBP既不与钙结合也不与这些糖类结合,而是识别並結合硫酸乙酰肝素(heparan sulfate)。MBP的两种晶体结构已被测定。[6][7]
相互作用
主要碱性蛋白已知可与妊娠相关血浆蛋白A发生蛋白質交互作用。[8][9][10]
